Some rare congenital diseases, such as Crouzon syndrome, cause premature fusion of the coronal suture and skull development disorders. These pathologies, starting in early childhood, may present many life-threatening risks for patients. The monobloc frontofacial advancement surgical procedure, performed between the ages of 2 and 3, can prevent most of these dangers.
